Quick note - I know I'm terribly behind on the blog and I have every intention of catching up starting with our spring skiing trip...but until then, here's a teaser!
From the moment Hudson could sit up, Brian couldn't wait to get him on a bicycle. We did all this research about the best bike seat only to realize he still had to grown into a helmet before he could ride up on Brian's bike for a cruise. And once he did, he loved it. Then we saw that Hudson loved riding the tricycles at school. So the obvious next step was getting Hudson ready for a two wheeler. He received his first balance bike (pedal less) for his 2nd birthday. Unfortunately, Hudson didn't really understand what to do for a long time. This bike seemed like something you just walk around and drag between your legs. He really didn't understand it nor did he like it very much. He loved the idea of it, his own big boy bicycle, but just didn't get the concept...until one day he did! Watch for yourself.
And the rest is history! To watch this all play out before our eyes, and develop so quickly once he 'got' it, was truly amazing and brought us such joy. He absolutely loves riding his bike and 'mountain biking' with Dad. Now of course Brian's itching for pedals...

NICE WORK! Well done on the video montage and excited the blog.
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS HUDSON! YOU ARE A SUPER RIDER!
OMG! I love this! Excellent documentation! And I'm so glad to know it took a while. Zeke wants to like his bike, but he doesn't. He gives up quickly and asks instead to go on Daddy's bike (because the ibert seat is the best, thanks for the lead on that!)
