This story makes my heart melt, my eyes twinkle, and places the biggest smile across my face!
We had just spent 4 days with the Roths down in South Pasadena for Thanksgiving. It was a fabulous family weekend with tons of playtime for the boys, gorgeous sunshine, delicious food, and tons of gabbing. We were saying our goodbyes Saturday night as we were leaving to drive back up to the Bay Area. We gave hugs and kisses and were carrying Hudson off to the car in his PJs. We got all settled in the car and Hudson said, 'I happy, I happy', with a big smile on his face! We said, 'You're happy?' And he said, 'Yes, I happy'! Um, cue the tears of joy. My son not only knows what it means to be happy, but is expressing his happiness! After a weekend with his loving family?!
Then this morning, on the way to work, we were listening to the song 'You are my sunshine.' Each time the song would say '...you make me Haa-ppy...', Hudson would sing along and come right in for the word 'Haaa-ppy', right on cue, sort of on key, several rounds of the song, each time. With a big smile on his face. So not only does he love expressing happiness, but he can sing! ; )
I love that kid!
