Happy!

This story makes my heart melt, my eyes twinkle, and places the biggest smile across my face!

We had just spent 4 days with the Roths down in South Pasadena for Thanksgiving. It was a fabulous family weekend with tons of playtime for the boys, gorgeous sunshine, delicious food, and tons of gabbing. We were saying our goodbyes Saturday night as we were leaving to drive back up to the Bay Area. We gave hugs and kisses and were carrying Hudson off to the car in his PJs. We got all settled in the car and Hudson said, 'I happy, I happy', with a big smile on his face! We said, 'You're happy?' And he said, 'Yes, I happy'! Um, cue the tears of joy. My son not only knows what it means to be happy, but is expressing his happiness! After a weekend with his loving family?!

Then this morning, on the way to work, we were listening to the song 'You are my sunshine.' Each time the song would say '...you make me Haa-ppy...', Hudson would sing along and come right in for the word 'Haaa-ppy', right on cue, sort of on key, several rounds of the song, each time. With a big smile on his face. So not only does he love expressing happiness, but he can sing! ; )

I love that kid!

SoCal Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at the SoCal Roth's home in sunny and warm South Pasadena. It was fabulous - tons of together time, lots of outdoor play, yummy food, and just a great Roth Family weekend. We drove down and scored with no traffic by departing at 7pm Tuesday night and returning 7pm Saturday night (marking it here just so we remember!). We took tons of pictures!

Jumping (trying) and Smiling

These videos are just cute examples of Hudson at 21 months.

For about a month he's been trying really hard to jump! They practice at school and we'll catch him working on it at home all the time now. Lizzi especially loved how he sort of 'revs up' with his hands.

This video shows just how sweet and mellow this little guy can be. Happily smiling for a photo shoot with his Uncle Dean - awww.

Cousins (Greenberg) Meet!

The Weinbergs came to visit which meant Hudson and his cousin Zeke got to meet in person. And boy did Hudson love his cousin! We knew he was very into his other cousin, Charlie, but I thought Zeke would be too young for Hudson to fully enjoy. Once again, he proved me wrong. Hudson couldn't stop saying 'baby, Seke' and giving him kiss after kiss. He was in love and obsessed. And Zeke was such a great sport letting Hudson poke and prod him, flashing that fabulous Zeke smile! We had all of their old bay area friends over and also lots of mellow family time. Then I traveled with the Weinbergs down to Palm Springs to play the role of Zeke's nanny while they attended a wedding. So I got some alone time away AND got quality bonding in with my nephew! All in all, a fabulous visit! Lots more pictures to enjoy here!
