Birthday Visit

We had a blast with Aunt Melissa, Grandma, and Grandpa in town for Hudson's birthday.  Luckily we were able to relax and enjoy the rest of the weekend after all the birthday fun!  Click here for some pictures/videos from the rest of the weekend and other celebrations - just some good old playtime.

Hudson's 3rd Birthday Party!

We celebrated Hudson's 3rd Birthday with a fun party at our house with lots of friends.  We were SO lucky to have help and fun visitors in Aunt Melissa, Grandma, and Grandpa.  Of course, we put them to work and they were a hit!

As the invite stated:
Please join us at Hudson's triathlon of activities for triple the fun on his third birthday!  We're going to have good old fashioned games, grub and good times!

We decided with all the extra help we could have games to occupy the kids so the adults could have a break to hang out.  We made star medals for each kid to wear, and they earned stickers to decorate their medal as they moved around the 3 stations of activities.  There was Ball Toss, Hokey Pokey, and Basketball.  Everyone had a blast, especially the birthday boy - he wore a smile the entire day!

Grocery wishlist

This is just a random conversation on a sick day home with Hudson about what he wants from the store, maybe specific to his upcoming birthday.  It's not significant.  I just know many years from now I'll love having captured a little part of 3 year old Hudson.

Dentist Pride

I'm always proud to be Hudson's mom, but I find I'm reminded just how much when we are in new settings off in the world together; watching him interact in a new environment, with other adults, and just accepting the acitivty at hand.  Our visit to the dentist is a perfect example - he cooperates happily and easily despite all the tools, poking in his mouth, new tastes/sounds - I end up walking out of the appointment beaming.

Dec holidays with BB/Papa

 
BB and Papa came to visit for nearly 2 weeks over our Dec holiday break.  We had a blast just laying low with small outings, enjoying CA winter (= sunshine), and a few rainy lazy days.
