Aspen Spring Break 2011
Our trip to Aspen was nothing but spectacular. It was amazing to spend time with BB and Papa (thanks for all the babysitting!), Kris (our always fabulous hostess), and Whitney and the Foley boys! Hudson was in love with the 'older' boys and made sure to always wave hi to baby Boden, just 10 days old! It's so much fun to see Hudson experience new things and just watch his world open up before his eyes.

Skiing!
FYI this post does not involve the H-man for a change. Every time I ski with Juliet I have a great time. She can handle just about any terrain, in the vid below the run is a lot steeper than it looks. We are on Garmisch on Aspen Highlands, yes a "black diamond." Always in control, and she was game for 2 laps down to the Temerity chairlift- each probably 4 Kirkwood Runs combined. Just one of a gazillion reasons why I love her and have so much fun spending time together. I'm always impressed!

Sledding!
We experienced many firsts on our trip to Aspen (Hudson's first time there outside of the womb) and high on the list was to take him sledding. Who knew we'd pick such a perfect day (60 degrees and sunny) and such a gorgeous setting, just a short walk from Kris's house. But we never could have guessed how much he'd LOVE it!

Walking (almost)
Hudson 'walks' all day long while holding just one of our fingers, down the street, around the house, on airplanes - he just doesn't like to let go. Hudson took his first independent steps in early March. It brought tears to my eyes, as silly as that sounds. We figured walking was just around the corner...and now it's been over a month. He still takes 'solo' steps every few days but for seemingly just our enjoyment. I swear he knows he's putting on a show. His best performance to date was while we were in Aspen, with a full audience, and cameras.
